The Guy C. Myers Memorial Band Shell celebrates its 74th season in 2023!

Concerts take place on Sunday and Thursday evenings throughout the summer and are free and open to the public.

Sunday, June 25

THE MCCARTNEY PROJECT

This group pays tribute to Paul McCartney and the music of Wings & The Beatles. The authentic tribute begins with Tony Burlingame a gifted left handed bass player just like Paul. Tony is backed by great musicians that provide the authentic McCartney sound.

REFLECTIONS OF ELVIS

Walt Sanders & the Cadillac Band provide a true tribute to Elvis with their “One Night With You” presentation along with many other Elvis hits. The very talented band helps return us to the time when Elvis was King.

Sunday July 2

ASHLAND SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA, Michael Repper, Director

The 2023 Grammy winner for Best Orchestral Performance. The annual “Pops in the Park Concert” celebrates our nations Independence Day in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Guy C. Myers Memorial Bandshell, including the 1812 Overture with live cannons, weather permitting.

NORTHWEST TERRITORY

Playing their own style of music since 1989, this group has a harmony blend that is sure to please. Bluegrass, folk, country & gospel styles include duets, trios & lead vocals framed by outstanding musicianship.

THE F M PROJECT

Performing the music of Steely Dan, this 9-piece Cleveland based group packs venues , such as House of Blues, Music Box Supper Club, Cain Park, Beachland Ballroom and Akron Civic Theater to name a few. These talented musicians play instantly recognizable and admired song list of Steely Dan hits.

A group of 5 young professional musicians came together to perform the funky sounds of their inspiration Bruno Mars. The Earth to Mars show brings to the stage these energetic musicians that will keep us on our feet! UPTOWN FUNK IS IN THE HOUSE!

P K MAYO BAND

Decades of touring has honed his guitar skills to a razors edge. Mayo’s abilities playing slide, acoustic, and electric guitars. His rare touch on the instruments combined with his accomplished original songwriting and soulful vocals make Mayo the complete package. His style includes blues, folk, rock & roll, and Americana.

YESTERDAY ONCE MORE

Inspired by the music of the Carpenters, this group re-creates the beloved music of Karen & Richard Carpenter taking us down musical memories from the past. The musicians create the mood and the music with their authentic interpretation.

AFTERMATH

Their “ Experience the 60’s” show recreates the most memorable songs of the era. Featuring songs from the Byrds, Turtles, Hollies, Rolling Stones, The Doors and Paul Revere & the Raiders, to name a few. Their song list is specific to a generation but their fans are multi-generational.

SONIC ESCAPE

Shawn Wyckoff and Maria Millar, both Julliard grads, founded SONIC ESCAPE in 2009. Armed with Flute & violin their game plan –hyper instrumentals to fill hearts with joy- has landed them on stages across the US and Canada. Maria and Shawn play their hearts out with a wonderfully imaginative sense of fun.

THE FITZGERALDS

Siblings Tom, Kerry, & Julie are 3 -time Canadian Grandmaster Fiddle Champions and Ontario Open Step Dance Champions. This unique act features high-energy fiddling and mind-blowing step dancing, great entertainment for the entire family.

RARE VINTAGE 10

Led by Neil Ebert, this 10 piece cover band excels in an array of instruments, backup and lead vocals. All members hail from Ashland and re-create performances in a wide variety of musical styles, including artists such as Michael Buble, Jimmy Buffet, Lionel Ritchie, and Chris Stapleton to name a few.

AFTER THE GOLDRUSH: PRESENTED BY THE OOLONG GURUS

A tribute to the songs of Neil Young by the Oolong Gurus Band. Known for their unique sound and harmonies, the group has toured the Eastern US extensively receiving great reviews along the way
