Potential Winter Storm Could Impact Mansfield Area Friday

A potential winter storm could impact the Mansfield area Friday into Saturday and bring a mixed bag of rain, freezing rain, sleet and 8 – 15 inches of snow according to Richland County EMA Director Mike Bailey.The exact track of the storm is not yet known, but the area is expected to receive a significant snow fall, but the concern is the possible freezing rain and sleet before changing over to snow. Friday is expected to start with rain and change over to freezing rain and sleet after 4 pm and eventually to all snow Friday night into the day on Saturday.
