Ashland County Health District Tax Levy

The Ashland County health district will have a replacement and additional tax levy on the upcoming November 7th ballot. RichlandSource.com reports that commissioner Sarah Humphrey said that this will keep health services local. The replacement property tax levy is for .03 mills and brings in only ($188,000) a third of the health district’s budget. The additional tax levy would be for .15 and would then bring the total mills to 0.45.  Right now, the owner of a $100,000 home is paying $8.60 a year and would increase if the levy passes to $15.75 a year. This levy is only for Ashland County residents that live outside of the city of Ashland.
