New Shelby Fire Station Dedication Ceremony Friday

The city of Shelby will hold a dedication ceremony Friday morning (11:30 am) for its new fire station on High School Avenue.  The new fire station was built thanks to a donation by business man Grant Milliron.  The old Shelby Fire House was built in the late 1870’s and is one of the oldest in the country. Shelby mayor Steve Schag says the ceremony will include Grant Milliron handing the deed over to the city and remarks also from the State Fire Marshall. Schag said they are grateful for the generosity of Mr. Milliron and is excited for Shelby’s new State of the Art Facility. The public is welcome to attend the dedication ceremony.
