Software change could save Mansfield around $30,000

A possible change in software used by Mansfield Safety forces could save the city around $30,000. Council President Cliff Mears says the software automatically dispatches the proper fire station when a call comes in and is used for multiple things, such as vehicle location and it also interfaces with the court system. 60 municipalities across Ohio used the software, including Shelby, Lexington and Ontario. Mansfield is going to give the new software a 2 month trial before committing to a contract.
