City of Mansfield Approves Spending Of $845,000 in CARES Act Money

The City of Mansfield has approved more than $845,000 in CARES Act money from the Federal government, due to the pandemic.

City Council this week announced the money will be going toward purchases for the Police and Fire Departments, plus an air purification system for the city building.

Council President Cliff Mears said so far Mansfield has received $2.5 million dollars in COVID-19 relief and could see another $1.5 million headed to the city in the near future.
