Plan for $6 Million Civic Center at Ashland County Fairgrounds

A plan was announced on Thursday to build a $6 million civic center at the Ashland County Fairgrounds.

AshlandSource.com reports, the Ashland County Agricultural Society intends to raise the funds to construct the 35,000 square foot facility, which would hold shows, business meetings and private events.

To make way for the new structure, Mozelle Hall and the Hobby Building would likely have to be knocked down.

Cathy Rice, Ashland County Fair secretary, said, the goal hopefully is to have it built by the 2026 fair.
