The Madison School Board and the teachers union have reached a deal on a 3-year contract.

RichlandSource.com reports, the deal comes after more than a year of negotiations.

The agreement received 90% approval from union members. The new contract, which runs through July of 2027, will see a 3% increase in base salary for beginning teachers, retroactive to this past January, and a 2% increase in August of this year and again next year.
