Ashland Salvation Army Kroc Center Receives $10,000 grant from Sutton Bank

ASHLAND, Ohio – The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center in Ashland is honored to announce that the Sutton Bank has awarded them a grant in the amount of $10,000 to support the Emergency Assistance Program.

“We deeply appreciate the continued, unwavering support from Sutton Bank,” said Dan Lawson, PhD, Director of Community Relations and Development at the Ashland Kroc Center. “As the cost of living continues to rise and the need for our Emergency Assistance Program grows, this support comes at a crucial time.”

In 2024, The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Corps Community Center helped Ashland County residents through the following services:

  • 259 Ashland County households received emergency assistance with gas, electric and water bills
  • 152 Ashland County residents were assisted with needed transportation
  • 70 Ashland County families received 120 nights of lodging when they had nowhere else to go

“This is in addition to The Ashland Kroc Center’s Food Pantry and Christmas Assistance Programs, which have also experienced a significant increased demand,” explains Dr. Lawson. “This gift from the Sutton Bank will help us continue these vital services and enable us to keep up with the increased demand.”
