In Ashland, the police department is investigating following a report of vandalism, which occurred on Tuesday night, at the Ashland Cemetery on Main St.
An official with the Ashland Monument Company says, 133 headstones were tipped over and damaged.
Some headstones are massive in size and to replace them fully is extremely expensive. The estimated damage is believed to be between $90,000 and $120,000, but the exact cost will not be known until the investigation is complete.
The Fallen Hero Military Memorial bronze statue, at the front of the cemetery, was damaged. Anyone with information should contact Ashland Police at 419-289 - 3639.
