Ashland Trash Pick-up Fee Increasing 17% in July

In Ashland, residents and business owners will see the cost of trash pick-up increase 17% next month.

AshlandSource.com reports, starting in July, the cost for trash services will go up $3, from $17.75 to $20.75 per month.

The rates have not went up in the last 4 years and officials say, the price hike is due to a landfill tipping fee increase from Rumpke. The tipping fees are because of stricter environmental laws and government regulations.
