Hot Weather: Mansfield Breaks 61 year old Record

The National Weather Service says the extreme heat broke a record in the city of Mansfield, which had stood for better than 60 years.

Monday, June 23rd, reached 92 degrees in Mansfield, which broke a 1964 record for the high temperature on that date, which previously was 91. A heat advisory remains in place through 8 pm on Tuesday, but hot temperatures are forecasted through early next week, ranging from the upper 80's to 90 degrees through Monday.
