Galion, OH- The Galion Police Department successfully apprehended four suspects in the early hours of September 7th, following a citizen complaint that led officers to an attempted break-in at the First Federal Bank West night drop box.
At approximately 0700 hours, the department received a report from a concerned citizen who observed suspicious activity near First Federal Bank, located at 901 Bucyrus Road. Officers were immediately dispatched to the area and observed a vehicle leaving the scene at a high rate of speed.
The vehicle fled southbound out of the city and subsequently crashed in Morrow County. An extensive search followed, with assistance from the Morrow County Sheriff's Office, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and Ohio Department of Natural Resources. All four suspects were located and taken into custody.
The Galion Police Department would like to commend the individual who reported the suspicious activity. Because of their quick action and our officers' rapid response, a crime was prevented, and those responsible are now facing charges.
The adult suspects - Jahmal Arnold (32M), Anthony Gunn (31M), and Edward Lowe (24M), all of Pennsylvania - are currently being held at the Crawford County Justice Center, pending formal charges. A 16-year-old juvenile male was also arrested in connection with the incident.
