Mansfield Police Investigating Bomb Threat at Greek Festival on Saturday

Mansfield Police are investigating a bomb threat at the Greek festival on Saturday morning.

Police Chief, Jason Bammann, told RichlandSource.com, the Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox church received a text message at 10:30 am from an unknown person, claiming a bomb had been placed in the ceiling of the church on West Third St.

The Ashland Bomb Squad was called and the building was evacuated. Mansfield Police and the Ashland Bomb Squad did a sweep of the building and found nothing suspicious, after two hours of searching. The festival opened up around 1 pm. The incident remains under investigation by the Mansfield PD.
