The City of Mount Vernon issued a press release on 10/9/2025 in reference to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Operation
At approximately 12:30 p.m., the City of Mount Vernon became aware of a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operation conducted at Pancho’s Tacos within City limits.
The City of Mount Vernon, Mount Vernon Police Department, and the Office of the Law Director did not receive communication or coordination from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials regarding the timing, scope, or nature of this operation.
The City of Mount Vernon is committed to seeking more information from the agencies involved. The City remains steadfast in its commitment to supporting our citizens, upholding the rule of law, and, above all else, defending the Constitution of the United States and the principle of due process for all individuals.
