100 year-old Woman Dies After Injuries in Wayne County Accident

Passenger Dies Following Wayne Township Crash

Wayne Township – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two-vehicle fatal traffic crash that occurred at the intersection of County Road 78 (Hutton Road) and County Road 6 (Friendsville Road) in Wayne Township, Wayne County.


At 2:00 PM on November 23, 2025, the Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol received a report of a two-vehicle injury crash at the intersection of County Road 78 and County Road 6. A red 2026 Chevrolet Colorado, operated by Karalee Butkovich, 73 years old of Lodi, Ohio, was westbound on County Road 78 when she failed to stop at the stop sign with County Road 6. Her vehicle was struck by a blue 2002 Ford Ranger, operat ed by Pamela Cromer, 64 years old of Creston, Ohio, that was southbound on County Road 6. The driver of the Ford Ranger, along with her two passengers, Dolly Cromer, 100 years old of Wadsworth, Ohio, and Charity Cromer, 41 years old of Creston, Ohio, were transported to Wooster Community Hospital. Dolly Cromer and Pamela Cromer had sustained what appeared to be serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

On November 24, 2025, the Wooster Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol was advised that Dolly Cromer had died as a result of injuries received during the crash.

Assisting on scene were the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Wooster Fire and EMS and Central Fire District EMS.

The crash remains under investigation.
