The new owner of the West Park Shopping Center in Mansfield has been announced.
Mayor Jodie Perry confirmed to RichlandSource.com that the 17 acre property on Park Avenue West has been sold to business owners and entrepreneurs, Dan and Brenda Niss.
Perry said, they did it to help the community and don't yet have specific plans yet for the site.
Mansfield applied for a $1 million dollar state grant to help with the demolition of the property and parking lot, which they hope to hear about next month.
It's possible to see the demolition begin this spring or summer.
