Mansfield, OH — February 4, 2026 — Combining technology with hands-on play, Buckeye Imagination Museum is excited to open a new traveling exhibit featuring the Help Me Grow iSandbox from Bright Beginnings. This innovative exhibit is designed to inspire the next generation of curious minds by providing an engaging experience that allows visitors to interact with dynamic augmented reality projections through play in a sandbox. As young learners shape and mold the sand, the iSandbox uses cutting-edge technology to simulate landscapes, rivers, mountains, and valleys, providing children with a unique tactile learning experience.
“We’re excited to welcome this exhibit,” said Justin Ross, Executive Director of Buckeye Imagination Museum. “We want to embrace new technology that offers unique play opportunities for our visitors, and we love collaborating with community service providers like Help Me Grow.”
The traveling exhibit is designed to engage families and make them aware of all Help Me Grow services, including:
Home Visiting: A supportive service for those who are pregnant or have young children up to age three.
Early Intervention: A program for families with children up to age three who have delays or disabilities.
Developmental Screenings: Available for all Ohio families at no cost through the Sparkler: Play for Parenting app.
Community Resource Directories: An online directory of resources at helpmegrow.org that include information for pregnant individuals and families with young children in all 88 Ohio counties.
In Richland County, Community Health Access Project (CHAP) provides Help Me Grow Home Visiting services to families and Richland Newhope, the County Board of Developmental Disabilities, provides Help Me Grow Early Intervention services.
Bright Beginnings is the state-contracted provider of Help Me Grow Central Intake & Referral. Their work, including this exhibit, is funded by the Ohio Department of Children & Youth.
The exhibit includes a Help Me Grow kiosk where families can sign up for services. Families can also scan a QR code and enter a drawing to win a Buckeye Imagination Museum membership for a family of four by submitting a developmental screening through the Sparkler app.
The traveling exhibit will remain at Buckeye Imagination Museum through late March. Buckeye Imagination Museum is open:
Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays: 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Thursdays: 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
