Boys Hoops: Big 2nd Half Powers Lexington Past Madison in Tournament Opener

The Lexington Minutemen used a big 2nd half to rally past OCC rival Madison, 51-42, on Wednesday in the Division III Sectional Semi-Final.

Lex fell behind by 11 points in the 1st half, but managed to cut it to 6, 20-14 at halftime.

The Minutemen had a monster 3rd quarter, where they outscored the Rams, 19-8, to take the lead going to the final quarter. Lexington would not give up the lead and went on to outscore Madison 37-22 in the 2nd half.

Lex had 4 guys in double figures: Dantrell Hughes 16 pts, Ethan Bianchi 12, Daniel Hudson 11 and Jayden Perkins with 10.

Madison (8-15) was led in scoring by Justin McCraney with a game-high 24.

Lexington (10-13) moves on to play at Tiffin Columbian (11-11) on Friday at 7 p.m. in the Sectional Championship game.
