Ashland City Schools Employee Terminated, Another Placed on Leave

STATEMENT REGARDING EMPLOYEE MISCONDUCT

Ashland City Schools is committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment for all students, staff, and families.

On the evening of Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the district terminated one Edison Elementary Noon Duty Paraprofessional employee following confirmed misconduct. A second Edison Elementary Noon Duty Paraprofessional employee has been placed on paid administrative leave pending investigation into alleged misconduct.

Both individuals were immediately removed from their duties once the district became aware of these concerns.

The district is actively conducting thorough investigations in collaboration with the Ashland Police Department and our School Resource Officers. We are committed to ensuring a fair and comprehensive process for all individuals involved.

At this time, there is no ongoing risk to students, and appropriate steps have been taken to maintain a safe school environment.

Student and staff safety remains our highest priority. As part of our core value to “create a circle of safety,” we will continue to take all concerns seriously and act decisively to uphold a safe and respectful school environment.
