iHeartMedia Mansfield and Marion Announce Retirement of Longtime Market President Margie Tasseff

MANSFIELD, OH — May 26, 2026 — iHeartMedia Mansfield, home to seven iconic radio stations, and iHeartMedia Marion, home to three dynamic stations, announced today that longtime Market President Margie Tasseff will retire, effective June 1, 2026, concluding a nearly 40-year career with the company and a lasting legacy across the Ohio communities.

Tasseff played a pivotal role in the growth and success of iHeartMedia Mansfield and Marion, helping shape the market through her leadership, deep community relationships and unwavering commitment to local broadcasting. She has served as Market President of Mansfield for the past 15 years, leading the market through periods of transformation and growth while championing local programming, partnerships and charitable initiatives that made a meaningful impact across the region.

“Margie’s passion for this business, her commitment to the Mansfield and Marion communities and the relationships she built over nearly four decades have left an incredible mark on our company and everyone fortunate enough to work alongside her,” said Matt Bell, iHeartMedia Area President. “She has been a trusted leader, mentor and advocate for both our employees and our partners, and her presence will truly be missed. We are deeply grateful for everything she has contributed to iHeartMedia and wish her nothing but happiness and success in this next chapter.”

Tasseff, a graduate of Ashland University, built a career in broadcasting and media sales spanning nearly four decades. She began as an account executive at WDBN before continuing her career at WNIR in Akron. Her journey later brought her to Mansfield, where she joined WMAN and Y105. Through dedication and leadership, she advanced from account executive to sales manager and ultimately Market President for the seven-station iHeartMedia Ashland/Mansfield cluster. In 2021 she also took on the duties of Market President of iHeartMedia Marion.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tasseff has remained deeply involved in the community, serving on the board of the Buckeye Imagination Museum and as Vice President of the Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging, in addition to serving on many other community organizations throughout the years.

Reflecting on her career, Tasseff shared, “Spending 39 years with one employer is truly uncommon. I’m deeply proud of what we’ve built together over the years — from the friendships and partnerships to the impact we’ve made through local radio. I’ve been fortunate to grow professionally while working with outstanding colleagues and serving a community that has meant so much to me. These stations will always hold a special place in my heart.”
