Carrie Underwood Gets On Bar Stage For Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers Song

Saturday night in a small town just outside of Nashville, a cover band was playing a Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers song and they needed someone to do the female part of the singing.

Carrie Underwood happened to be there and she was asked to sing the part Stevie Nicks sings in Stop Dragging My Heart Around.

When I watched this, I thought the band sounded amazing. There can only be one Stevie Nicks. She has a unique voice. But I think Carrie knocks it out of the park in this performance.

By the way, seeing big stars just hanging out at bars in the Nashville area is apparently a common occurrence. There are lots of stories like this or artists hearing their songs being performed and getting on stage with the performers.
