A high school student from Atlanta has her choice of colleges to attend. Daya Brown got accepted to over 50 schools! The top student wants to go into media or film and certainly has the opportunity now that she’s earned over $1.3 million in scholarships.
Brown got accepted to Duke University. Spelman, Hampton, Maryland, University of Georgia, Clemson, LSU, and more. She eventually chose Duke after visiting the campus.
Daya is already set up for success. Her resume already includes being a journalist, winning debate awards, and starting her own production company.
As for going to Duke, she’s got a full ride for her first year and will have to re-apply every year to get it again. She’s also a finalist for a four-year full ride through the Gates Millennium scholarship and will find out if she got it in three weeks.
