Over the weekend, Pinellas Park High School student, Miriam Villa Batista, was surprised with a complete prom makeover from a Tampa-based foundation My Fairy Godfathers. The Florida teen wasn’t going to be able to afford to attend prom until My Fairy Godfathers selected her for the makeover.

Miriam was chosen for the makeover because of her academic excellence and resilience. She was treated to a new outfit, accessories, dinner and a limo for the night.

Founded by Steven Anderson and Andrew Ashton, My Fairy Godfathers Foundation helps women who face hardships such as cancer and abuse. This year alone, the foundation has helped more than 2-thousand Tampa area women.
